Former Defense Secretary Robert Gates, SAP NS2 Board Chair Frances Townsend, and Other Top Experts to Speak at "The 3rd Annual SAP NS2 Solutions Summit: Decoding the New Era of U.S. National Security"

SAP NS2 to Showcase a Stellar Lineup of Thought Leaders, Solutions, and Partners in Oct. 30 Event

Washington, DC — The U.S. national security mission faces unprecedented complexities — from known threats to emerging threats, cyber and insider threats, floods of data, and shrinking budgets.

To focus expert dialogue on these issues, SAP National Security Services (SAP NS2™) is convening the top minds in U.S. national security, intelligence and I.T. on Thursday, October 30, for "The 3rd Annual SAP NS2 Solutions Summit: Decoding the New Era of U.S. National Security."

SAP NS2, an independent U.S. subsidiary of the global enterprise software company SAP, is a 100% American team dedicated to improving the mission and business performance of U.S. national security.

At the 2014 Solutions Summit, hundreds of attendees from government, business, research, media, and nonprofits will gain fresh insights from a stellar roster of speakers — as well as exclusive opportunities to see our solutions in action, and to give back to our U.S. veterans. Altogether, SAP NS2 will deliver a valuable day of learning and networking to advance the mission and business performance of its customers.

Dr. Robert Gates, U.S. Secretary of Defense (2006-2011), will deliver the luncheon keynote. Frances Townsend, former assistant to President George W. Bush for homeland security and counterterrorism, CNN On-Air Contributor, and Chair of the SAP NS2 Board, will kick off the morning discussion.

Other confirmed speakers include: Michael Morell, the recently retired Deputy Director of the CIA and Chairman of the SAP NS2 Advisory Board; Ambassador John Negroponte, Chairman of the Intelligence and National Security Alliance (INSA) and former Deputy Secretary of State; Jack Devine, a 32-year veteran of the CIA; Ken Dilanian, an intelligence writer for the Associated Press; Michael Hewitt (Rear Adm., U.S. Navy, retired), former head of Information Operations for the U.S. Department of Defense (DoD); Terry Roberts, Vice President of Cyber, Engineers and Analytics at TASC; Jill Tummler Singer, former CIO for the National Reconnaissance Office (NRO); and Alan Wade, former CIO of the CIA.

At onsite "Innovation Bars," SAP NS2 and partners will display cutting-edge technology solutions for today's top challenges, including:

  • Multi-INT Analytics;
  • Immersive Analysis and Visualization;
  • Geospatial Situational Awareness; and
  • Smart Content Exploration.

The event will also feature a special tribute to U.S. military veterans and an overview of NS2 Serves™, a separate nonprofit organization launched by SAP NS2 to train and employ veterans in I.T. careers.

"Improving the mission and business performance of U.S. national security is our passion," said SAP NS2 President and Chief Executive Mark Testoni. "Capabilities and demands are evolving rapidly. We want to continue the dialogue during our Third Annual Solutions Summit to help customers and providers meet critical mission needs with speed and agility."
