SAP National Security Services™ Names Former State Department and ODNI Official Cherreka Montgomery to Executive Team
Bethesda, MD — SAP National Security Services® (SAP NS2®) today announced the appointment of Cherreka Montgomery, an expert in performance management in national security and intelligence, to its executive team. Montgomery joins SAP NS2 as National Vice President for Corporate Development, where she will work with the intelligence community, Department of Defense, and system integrators to understand their unique mission requirements.
"We are very pleased to have Cherreka on board," said Mark Testoni, President and CEO of SAP NS2. "Her broad background and presence within the diplomatic and intelligence community will further enhance our credibility in the national security arena."
With more than 17 years of experience assessing the effectiveness of federal programs in the US and abroad, Montgomery's resume includes experience at the Office of the Director of National Intelligence (ODNI) and the US Department of State. While working as a public affairs officer at ODNI, Montgomery also served as the principal media spokesperson for the Intelligence Advanced Research Projects Agency (IARPA), a research arm of the ODNI.
Previously, Montgomery served in the State Department as Director of Evaluation and Measurement in the Office of the Under Secretary for Public Diplomacy and Public Affairs, where she led a newly-established unit in developing performance measurement instruments and supervising independent evaluations of the department's public diplomacy activities. Montgomery was nominated for the State Department's Franklin Award for her leadership in spearheading a groundbreaking pilot study to assess the impact of the US Government's public diplomacy activities and programs on global audiences.
Montgomery has also shared her expertise with several non-governmental organizations, development assistance organizations, and congressional offices, addressing issues including the Millennium Challenge Account and the President's Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief. She has worked on initiatives to improve the lives of women and their families in developing countries, including Afghanistan; to reduce women's and girls' vulnerability to HIV/AIDS; to end child marriage in developing countries; and to improve the effectiveness of federally funded development assistance programs.
"Today we face an unprecedented number of national security threats that are more diverse and complex than ever before. I'm excited to be part of the NS2 team during this critical time to provide customers with a variety of solutions to address these challenges," said Montgomery.
