The SAP NS2 Sr. Proposal Specialist primarily writes, edits, and researches industry specific, non-technical content of proposals, focusing on the production of high-quality, industry leading proposals and presentations. The Proposal Specialist is also responsible for assisting with graphics and final production and submission of proposal responses.

The position requires acute attention to detail, the ability to manage multiple work streams within compressed timeframes, mature project management disciplines and strong oral and written business communication skills.


Key activities including, but not limited to:

  • Perform initial research including identifying potential differentiators and win themes and past/present relationship with prospect/customer including relevant background information;
  • Build relationships with teams and individuals to facilitate support and alignment and serve as a representative of the Proposal Management team;
  • Quickly develop your internal network and effectively leverage and manage the many available sales support resources; and
  • Demonstrate innovation and best practices that are translatable for other VAT Team members;
  • Participate in the project planning activities and the execution of projects according to plan;
  • Keep stakeholders informed of progress and issues in order to manage expectations on all project requirements and deliverables;
  • Proactively identify changes in scope and ensure appropriate measures are taken with stakeholders to reassess and amend the scope of work requirements, budget and timeline;
  • Ensure execution of defined processes;
  • Ensure the engagement of the VAT to cover technical content, risk analysis, contracts, revenue, recognition, approval, etc.;
  • Maintain accurate records of activities for reporting to field teams and PM leadership;
  • Address all production requirements such as copying, binding and packaging of proposals including covers, tabs, spines, labels, binders, diskette or CD sheets or envelopes and brand adherence; and
  • Identify methods of increasing speed of delivery without compromising quality and quantity.

Responsibility: Approvals/Compliance

Key activities including, but not limited to:

  • Ensure documents are consistent with SAP NS2 branding, as well as SAP branding and One Voice;
  • Identify risks with regard to risk reviews (e.g., US GAAP, Revenue Recognition) and authorizations;
  • Complete required documents (e.g., BEE, Vendor questionnaire, Standardized Forms, Reps and Certs, Transmittal Letters, etc.);
  • Assist in facilitation of appropriate reviews, including legal and risk reviews
  • Participate in peer and red team reviews; and
  • Support and ensure the adherence to required approval processes and that appropriate authorizations are obtained such as GAF and SCAF.


  • University degree (Bachelor) or relevant tertiary certification;
  • Excellent writing and editing skills;
  • Excellent communications skills;
  • Ability to prioritize tasks;
  • Proactive and strong work ethic;
  • Ability to work independently with minimal guidance;
  • High proficiency with MS Word and MS PowerPoint;
  • Ability to work well under pressure;
  • Ability to work well in teams and with a variety of personalities; and
  • APMP Foundation Level Accreditation would be an advantage.
